Overview

MH Kitchen was concieved out of the need for a healthy and quick lunch and dinner options for busy Lake Forest residents.

As a new restaurant concept, MH Kitchen was in need of branding, in-house materials and an online presence to introduce its quick but healthy approach to no-fuss, eat-in and take-out lunches.

Approach

MH Kitchen set itself apart from local competitors with its focus on local ingredients, made-from-scratch bowl components and carefully curated wine offerings sold at retail, while presenting itself as a quaint, trendy (and sometimes cheeky) personality in the neighborhood.

The branding process began by exploring those differences from competitors, while keeping it’s family ties to Market House in the Square.

The MH Kitchen brand needed to differentiate itself from its classic, dine-in sister restaurant while maintaining a visible connection. The brand incorporates allusions to its relationship to Market House on the Square, while maintaining an aesthetic that takes a no-frills approach to lunch with a clean, modern feel.
